it was notts county when div 1 changed into the premiership. Right, Spurs were relegated from the top flight for financial irregularities (docked points) and fought it thru court and were reinstated, so technically they were relegated and still played in that division next season. Swindon had the same fate except they didn't contest it and remained relegated.

I think u misread the question as I initially did. Has to be a team that has also been relegated from div 2 and still played in the same div.

Notts were still in div 1 when the premiership was introduced and then again recently when the championship came in for Div 1.
