How many buyins would you recommend for SnG's? And how many for cash?

I want to use a proper bankroll management rather than winning $100 losing $100 and so on.

Sit n gos, you may need as little as 25, you may need over 125. It depends upon your edge.

A decent player could probably get by on 60/70.

I was thinking that 100 would be good, just so I can play without fear, I think 25 would cause me to play too cautious

PS Anyone play many SnGs on Full Tilt? I have just started and I find a noticeable difference from Stars

I play the $22 and $33 turbo SNG's on Full Tilt, and find they suit my game best. Lot of bad players at this level and you'll usually find the table's down to 4 to 5 players within the first few levels.

Tried SNG's on Stars and other sites but find their structure either too fast or too slow.

Tank is spot on for sng's, for cash 20 full buyins is seen as the norm.

As for full tilt, i thought standard was similar to stars when i played over there pre-neteller going south. The structure is the main difference it is more gradual and has lot more levels than other sites. I found that you had to play a bit more in the early stages as more of your stack was eaten up being blinded away.

I would imagine they might be more tricky now and the turbos are just pure push botting.

Winkie how do you cope with sippin_criss being at every table, he makes tank look like he does sng's for a hobby.

Poor use of phrase probably, when they left the US market, the us based sites have had problems because the fish can't deposit.

I play off 20 buyins for stt's but move levels asoon as i have less than 20. but it depneds on what speeds you play, turbo's id say 50 or 60 as its not unusual to drop 15 20 games.
Most ive missed money on in 2 years is 7, thats at normal speed

I play turbos as I cant multi table with normals, too much concentration is needed.

I found on Stars that it was push botting for the last little while, with heads up maybe having a few hands with fold equity and possible folding preflop, especially if the stacks are equal and it is still 150-300 or 200-400

I find on Full Tilt there is much more play and that people are much more patient. Having only played about 50 there, I bubbled numerous times using my stars push botting game while the people simply folded mediocre hands (making me think they were terrible) to me finishing fourth (and me thinking that pushing with 34 maybe wasnt the smartest thing to do)

Obviously I have not played enough there to get a true indication, but I feel the players thus far have treated a turbo similar to a turbo, waiting for good cards. I have yet to see someone push with a bad hand (and get caught), which happened every game on stars.
