After about 2 orbits, i had nailed the players on the table... I got the first player to get busted on the table correct and also the one most likely to get busted on a bluff .... was very interesting to observe a table as a dealer, because the tells you pick up are amazing.
Kev,
I was also at the same table. Not sure if you remember me, but I was 3 to your right wearing a green shirt.
I was just wondering if you can remember any tells you picked up off me? (Brendan & ITB can chip in here if you want).
I was aware I had an image of being rockier than Brighton Beach because everyone folded whenever I raised. Although that was mainly due to being completely card dead all morning.
Feel free to PM me if you can remember.
Thanks
Mark.
Hello mark, i didnt realise it was you ... it was a good laugh dealing at that table, i think the banter was great. as for your "tells etc" , I had you down as someone who was not going to get involved in any silly skirmishes, You were obviously card dead while i was dealing, and i remember thinking that when you did enter a pot, you would have the goods... I also thought that you would be easily taken off a flop with no pictures etc... as you would be playing high aces etc. In fact ITB was doing this regularly and nicking chips right from the start, not just against you, but against everyone.
But i suppose really, you slipped under the radar as you didnt play many hands in the time that i was dealing.
The guy that went out first off the table was always going to be an early casualty, he had no idea how to play with a decent starting stack and a fantastic structure, he was chasing cards all the time, and was bleeding chips doing it.

Thanks for the feedback Kev. I think you pretty much got it right for me. I missed pretty much every flop when I did enter a hand, and so when I did bet it was pretty much with air.
I was particularly worried about getting into a hand with ITB due to his aggressive play. I was always worried he was going to come over the top of me.
There was one hand in particular where we went head to head. I think I raised pre-flop with KQ and ITB called (I think he may have been in the blinds). Flop was JJJ. Both checked flop. Turn was something like an 8 or 9. He checked, I put out a feeler bet. He stared me down for a while before folding. He said afterwards he considered reraising. At this stage, ITB had already shown hands such as 74 & 52, so I knew there was a good chance he had nothing. I think this is one hand where I would have called him down as I was certain I was ahead despite having only K high.
I really enjoyed that table as well as it was such a good laugh. I'll be sure to introduce myself next time.

Remember though that Kev's a mug - so it might be an idea to ask someone at the table who understands the game...

You sure it was me KP? Sorry, I don't remember the hand. Actually I didn't realise I was on the same table as you in Birmingham.

Well you must have been on the same table if you were sitting next to Mark. Sorry, I'm normally very good with remembering faces. Are you the guy that caught a full house early on playing something like T6? If so, I do remember.

Bang on, he only raised 2xBB so called with 10 6 and hit two pair on flop, he bet big and i called, turn gave me the boat then tried to bleed him, didnt put him on flush on river or would have gone all in, missed out on about 7000 chips (that bad read probably cost me going deep!)

It's understandable. That's a face you'd rather forget...

i loved that table. i was bossing the shite out of it!
i could win with all sorts of rubbish but couldnt get my big hands to hold up. KK beat twice and QQ another.
was a real friendly table was just gutted it ended so quickly for me. 2 great levels nearly doubling my stack then all undone in 4 hands after the break thanks to the bok kinboshi suggesting he'd rail me !

You really were bossing the table. Admittedly it was impressive to watch
. Just a shame I was at the same table
.
You got unlucky when you ran into AJ (can't remember if it was against KK or QQ) who caught trips. You also made a couple of really good lay downs holding big hands IIRC.
It was good to meet you. I just hope I'm not at your table next time.

I was doing ok aswell, went up to around 18K early on but losta lot of ships in a raise, reraise, all in pot with mark donnelly when i held AK and he had AQ (or so he said) when we both had nothing, didnt have the balls to close the door! Mentally that hand probably ended my chances and dont even talk to me about 9,9! lost 4 times with it and everytime i was ahead on flop but noone ever folded to the bet!!!
