Gaspara 3-1 for the Fred Winter on Tuesday...

She looks a tiny horse, and had a very hard race today (under pressure miles from home... McCoy magic got her home)

I'm very doubtful she could take another hard race. I will be looking to lay her if she's short.

Gaspara 3-1 for the Fred Winter on Tuesday...

Bit worried itll run in the County instead coz Pipe gets an £80,000 bonus if it wins the county and the race it won yesterday. It was about 50/50 last night.

So i laid some more off at 4.7. If it dosent run in the Fred Winter i win £40 prof. if it runs and dosent plae i lose £60, if it places i win £160, but if it wins i get £700.

As far as the Kim Muir goes, I backed Character Building at 16-1 which is now 12s, but only as a back to lay.....I like the look of Direct Flight who steamed home last year in 4th at Cheltenham. Not sure whether he will find enough off the bridle though if Carberry takes the ride. Hmmm.

Gaspara is not entered in the county hurdle, she is entered in the Fred Winter & the 2m 4f novice hurdle on wedsnesday (the old sun alliance hurdle).  Pipe gets the bonus if she wins ANY race at the festival, so I would be amazed if she didn't take her chance in the Fred Winter, as long as she came out of the Sandown race well.  Pipe will not want to take on Aran concerto and the older novices on Wednesday.

Gaspara will definetly go for the Fred Winter (assuming fit) and I would be amazed if he doesn't hack up. The Pipe's have planned this for a while now and whatever they plan ussually works.
