What connections does your laptop have, or your TV have? Is it an LCD / Plasma?

If your TV has a 15-pin D-sub connection (monitor connector) then that will work at it's highest resolution.

Failing that your laptop and TV both probably have S-video connectors. Get an S-video cable, you will also need an audio cable, 2.5mm jack to 2 x phono.

Then you just need to switch your laptop to external display.

You don't need windows MCE that's just for going through the X-BOX 360 or recording TV with a tv tuner, but there are plenty of alternative programs for thatwhich sometimes work better than MCE anyway.

If you get a wireless keyboard and mouse, or a keyboard with built in mouse (I'll recommend one if you want), you can play poker from the sofa on the big TV, which i'm sure you like the sound of.

The picture quality on a 50" screen would be awful anyway.
Hell, SKY will be awful on a screen that big unless you are a good distance away. HD excluded.

The laptop will be able to output in a high resolution, probably higher than the TV so it will look awesome, assuming you download a high quality version of prison break Wink
