Just a quick update on poker coaching.
Had one session before Christmas but for various reasons was unable to have another until last week. I have learnt how to get in to 'the zone' (or the place right for me) quicker and better and how to block distractions so I can concentrate better. I am a nosy cow and am always watching other things going on in the poker room etc etc.
I have also learnt some patience, after a couple of good results last year I started to play too aggressive and loose and wasn't winning anything. In Vegas in January I don't think I won a hand and I lost a lot of hands and money - not good.
Anyway first game after second session was at Luton last week in £75 F/o - got down to last 2 tables which on recent results is fantastic. I was able to focus/read my opponents and really felt much more in control at the table, most importantly I was able to to take chips off Mr Martin and tilt him so it was a great comp

On Sunday I played at Southend and again finished on last 2 tables, I played well with no cards to speak of and although no cash i was pleased with the improvement.
Tonight I played on line and won a sattelite to the Mansion $100k. Still in after 18 minutes..........
Up sides of the process - more relaxed at the table, more focused, inwardly calm.
Down sides - not sure yet - £150 lighter but we'll see if that pays off in the short/med/long run. Not expecting miracles - it's just nice to have regained a bit of sanity and calmness to my brain.
