Well here's my little girl having a kip with her arch enemy "Buzzy" the stuffed bee. These two fight to the death several times a day, the bee wins about 70% of the time.

No wonder she's knackered, it's been a busy week for someone who's just over 6in tall. So far she has learned..

To keep out of the way of people with big feet.

To tilt her head sideways to get anything she wants from Mrs Red. ( I tried it too, doesn't work for me)

To have a wee when she is taken to the place where she had a wee the last time.

She can't intimidate a box of tissues by barking at it.

She can't scratch a collar off.

It hurts if she lies down in nettles or stick her nose into the fire.

If she is left alone for an hour, she has not been abandoned forever.

Riding in the car is nice.

Kizzy is 3 months old today.

She is learning so fast. She has learned not to take food unless it's given to her, and she's learned that it's OK if I leave her alone for a few hours, she knows now, I am coming back.

She has had her vaccinations and we have begun the socialisation process proper. She has already accompanied me to Luton, and yesterday she went to the tip with me while I emptied my bins. A whole bunch of big hairy (and usually grumpy) council workers fussed over her, and argued about who's turn it was to pet her.

Today we spent an hour sitting on a bench in the middle of town watching the world go by. It was great for her to see all the traffic and people, to hear the noise and smell the smells, at this age she takes it all in her stride, just more strange new stuff in a word full of strange new stuff.

At home she watches me constantly, she is totally fascinated by everything I do. If I'm chopping wood for the fire, watering the plants, playing poker, whatever, she seems enthralled.

Thats the thing with dogs, to his dog, every man is a king. She sleeps on my foot, if I change chairs, she moves with me. She brings her toys and offers them to me. Her greatest joy is for me to tell her she's a good girl. (Can you tell I'm smitten)
