Anyone else seen Guy Ritchie's latest?
If anyone has - please explain what the hell just happened? I think someone robbed me of 2 hours of my life.

I've heard some really shocking reviews about this one.
Empire, which I hold in high esteem, only gave it 2 stars. Bah. I'm disappointed without having seen it as I'm a big Guy Ritchie fan. (Swept Away excluded)
Guy Ritchie did say in an interview that it required repeated viewing. This often translates as 'Yes, I confess, the film is crap.' However, you never know. Some films do get better when you watch them again.
Did you not enjoy it then? I hope Ray Liotta still has his credibility in tact?

Erm tough one,
I figured the twist out, which was excellent and I immediately said after the film "I need to see this again" and it probably will improve with time. (Once I understand it!) It's very stylish but the usual Lock Stock/Snatch lines are all missing and it's really dark. Very unlike Ritchie.
Liotta is in his pants a lot. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Goodfellas may be ruined. I saw the Heineken advert last night after watching this flick and I just laughed at him. I just keep seeing him in those pants!
My biggest gripe was not understanding it and expecting a huge explanation at the end which never came. Or did it? I'm confused.

Note to posters
if you've seen it, don't give away the twist or the ending
I'm curious to see it now. A big fan of his other stuff, but now my expectations for this are low, which is probably good

If you don't expect to see Lock Stock or Snatch you wont be as let down as I was. I'll give it another viewing I think. It took me a while to get into Fight Club properly but I love it now.

Just watched it, total let down, didnt realise it was the end till the dvd stopped.
Obviously G Ritchie is a big fan of the usual suspects, which this is a cheap imitation.
Do yourself a favour and miss this one and watch 4 brothers instead

I saw this movie last week and really enjoyed it! The cast work well and there are some neat little touches. I think it's a good thing that 'the guy' Ritchie isn't just trying to rehash 'Lock Stock' (which is one hell of a movie). I'd like to have seen a bit more depth in the whole chess/ideas/life relationship.
Will.
