Andreas Hagen is eliminated - he got it all in with
against Michael Mucklisch's
... The flop was raggy (two diamonds, however) but a King popped out on the turn, Andreas Hagen got his coat, the river brought another King and he shook his opponent's hand and headed off in 19th place. No celebrating, just a handshake and commiseration on the outdraw.

Action picture from that final hand for Andreas Hagen (last of my picks): Taken from standing on top of a chair behind a crowd 5-deep, but you get a feel for it anyway...

When that hand happened, I was just getting a few pictures from the other table - at one end, all by himself, Philip Yeh, and the rest of them bunched at the other...

OK here is my estimate of Johnny Lodden's chip count: between 280 and 300k. Now, from all the stories of how he'd been running over his table, this doesn't seem quite right. The maximum I could have miscounted is a further 80k (if there was a side stack of brown 5k chips I couldn't see from the only angle I could get to) so I looked for other big stacks.
Sebastian Ruthenberg has something like 625,000. I think some chips might have swapped table sides in the last half hour or so.

Yes, flopped set must have looked like it might be a very good thing for his tournament, but Nicolas Levi's rivered straight (I think - I was downstairs being caught on camera counting chips) knocked him out instead...
I am in no way partying until tomorrow night, minimum. And hey - you're not one to lecture me

Does anybody know the reasoning behind the 3-table redraw and then the 2-table redraw following on? I don't get it.

There was nothing remotely sick about this, and Lee Jones is a clown.
He actually said this was 'the worst beat of the tournament'
JQ v 33,
ALL THE CHIPS WENT IN PRE-FLOP
.
My god, it doesnt matter what order the next 5 cards are dealt, its a race, end of story.
The way they are dealt adds a bit more drama, but this is not a a bad beat of any sort.
Lee Jones, Clown.

Don't get this either, they seem to do a lot of it in the latter WPT stages too I hear, it just seems confusing and annoying to me, how are you meant to stay settled and
get a read on players when there are constant re-draws for no particular reason....
