Details for the Heads Up No Limit Hold 'em Comp:
2500 starting chips and a 10 minute clock. Players are to arrange their own timing, whether it is the clock on the wall, mobile or wrist watch.
Blind Structure:
25/50, 50/100, 75/150, 100/200, 150/300, 200/400, 300/600.
If the games are found to be taking a great length of time, the right to change the structure is reserved either before a game or, unusually, during a game. If changed the structure is likely to change to:
25/50, 50/100, 100/200, 200/400, 400/800.
(Previously refered to in bbHU as the "Vic" proviso)
The buy in is £100 per team (5 players), captains you are responsible for collecting the money and passing it over at registration. The draw will be made pre blonde bash and each team will be given a running order upon payment.
The winner of the first two teams drawn out will play the winner of the 3rd and 4th teams drawn out, and so on. I will provide a printed sheet of paper, visible to all to show who is playing who and the route to the final. These will also be given out to teams when paying for their registration.
We will get the games underway ASAP, as players get knocked out of the main comp and are available to play.
To save time on waiting for individual opponents exiting the main comp, we will be running it as follows: Players MUST play the first available player from the opposing team, each player must only play once per round.
It is the individual players responsibility to find their opponent and help to get their games under way, the captains will make sure that is happening. The results of each match should be given to Kev or myself as soon as it is finished so the order of play can be updated to show who others will be meeting in the next round.
There will be no need to ensure all matches are finished in one round before the next round matches start. As soon as one team achieves 3 victories the tie is over, there is no need to complete all 5 matches if the tie has already been decided.
If the comp is not finished by the time the casino shuts we transport ourselves to the Days Inn and finish off there, in the bar.
The payout structure will be 50% of the prize pool to the winning team, 30% to the losing finalists and 20% to the winners of a third place play off. These totals will of course, be minus Kev's bar bill.
The third place play off will be expected to be played before the final. If time is short it is open to consider a 10% each split for each of the losing semi-finalists.
