Damn Rich i had a post similair in mind whn i was readin the topic lol.

Yeah get her at the broadway and i'll have her quipping in a week. Seeriously tho its a small minority of players who cause this and thre is a lack of competant dealers in most clubs due to the fact that most just dont care. This is why i had to applaud walsall's decision to test dealers Knowledge of the game etc(sorry boss Grin) as its one thing to know how to pitch cards and count chips but understanding certain things in the game is what sets the good dealers apart and has always been something i have tried to instill in anyone i trained
When did that start at Walsall, must have been in the last 48hrs.
I agree there is no need for dealer abuse, but I can see when it annoys some, when the dealer is consistantly yawning or saying they dont like it in the cardroom so they couldnt give a chit.

I always try and be helpful to the new dealers, but it can be very testing when you are continuosly having to watch the experienced dealers, making sure they get the pots correct.

By the way dik9, tried out the broadway on wednesday, and enjoyed it. Possibly due to the fact that your dealers were very good,on which I complemented them on.

Thank you I KNOW IT I have learnt over the last few years that it is important to have staff that WANT to be in the cardroom and not forced to be.
Sorry I missed you, and apologies for the poor turn out.
It is also nice that dealers do get praised, it makes them feel good and want to keep up with expectations. Thank you again.

Yeah i agree having dealers whow nat to be in the cardroom makes a massive difference.

Walsall have started an system where they will be checing on all dealers progress in the cardroom after an incident in their £300 game last week, the announcemnet was made on here by Hasanyonegotthisone.

And yes praising dealers goes a very long way, one poker forum had several posts praising dealers in blackpool by name and the buzz it created was unreal and standards improved as they all wanted to outdo each other lol. I have always said the cardroom is the one area where dealers get chance to shine and pick up some plaudits, after all players always remember good poker dealers but dont remember good roulette dealers do they?

Thanks Guys, but my point was...., DON'T abuse the dealers. In many cases, it's not their fault if they don't know as much as we'd like them to.
