Australia can be backed just above evens on the handicap giving up 99.5 points

Scenario - If Australia score 300 which is very likely, if not more - then scotland have to get wihin 100 runs of their score- this i think is pretty impossible

If scotland bat first they will not score more than 150 tops - australia would then need to get this total for less than 5 wickets

For once, I want Scotland to win.

I've had some of this, but thinking about it, it's a potentially risky.  Australia could do with winning the toss.

If Scotland bat first and get however many runs, doesn't matter, say 100.  Australia need to get to that total without losing a wicket for the bet to win.  Each wicket in hand counts for 10 points, so they need to win by 10 wickets.  If the Scottish get one, the bet's lost. 

If Australia bat first, the bet is safer as they can set a decent run total and there's no way the Scottish will catch it or get even close.


All on the toss for me, but I've had some of it.

poor teams will always bat 2nd if they win the toss - they dont wanna be bowled out within an hour

good teams will always bat first to get their batsman some crease time
