so whats yer most positive things on the winter

me

play more poker as its generally wet and miserable outside..and less likely to go on tilt to get out in the sun
love the snow....always build a snowman and always have a snowfight...which the wife wins
love crisp cold days when i can see my breath...as opposed to smelling it Grin

aaaaannnnd the best...spend more time on here being amazed by the mad ecletic mix of nice folks ye meet   Kiss Kiss Kiss Kiss

Walking into a freezing house where the heatings been off, turning it on and then sitting by a scoulding radiator warming each part of your body piece by piece.

Oh, and cups of tea tastes loads better when its cold.

Going to work in the dark. Coming home in the dark, and never seeing the sunlight for weeks on end.

I've never though of that before, but it's so true.

One of the things that I most liked about the winter when I was a kid was the fact that the horse racing on the telly finished earlier. Me and my brothers would get annoyed that we couldn't watch the football scores on the TV because my dad wanted to watch the racing from Newmarket, which didn't finish until after 5. In the winter, the TV racing is all done by 3, so we could watch Ceefax whilst my dad was asleep on the sofa.

The silence that descends as snow is falling.  and the silence there is all over this village after the snow has stopped and there isn't much traffic - everything is soooooo  picture postcardy....

Shite Im getting a bit sentimental now, best I go kick up a storm somewhere.......
