very thoughtful post, you can see your determination.
the simple way to do these events is to produce a structure in print prior to the event and then they have to stick to it?
the dual days thing is obviously needed given the explosion of the game at the moment and as you say they need to be exactly the same, even if it means staying at level 10 till play stops on the second day (if that's what the first day was), even if it means more players returning from the second day.
As for the rake, surely the sponsors contribute? if not why not? why pass it on to the players when pokerstars are getting publicity? or tv are getting a cheap program?

Thats a great point about playing down to 12 on both days being unfair.

By doing some rough calculations from the live updates it appears that they played longer on Day 1.

Therefore, i guess Dave could have a case to argue if he wished to.......

To be fair EPT Baden was absolutely superbly run. It was exactly how an EPT event should be....

Great structure, great venue. They even had a flag parade before the start
