plus the odds on ironsides mugs are way too high they should be
around 6-4 but i dont carre i got some

Yes - but on occassions like this i can affect the outcome or at least have a say in it by performing to the best of my ability, unlike the horses or dogs where i am relying completely on another animal performing to the best of its ability. I used to bet on the horses and dogs all the time before i discovered poker, haven't touched them since because i've found something that can give me the same adrenilin rush if i have a big win but where i have more of a control as to the final outcome. Granted there is still an aspect of luck involved but if i continue to get better at the game i can eliminate it as much as possible.  |

Team Chorlton Isn't that right MonkeyBoy Lol, yes - of the heads up competition there is only one winner. (but at odds of 25/1 we can make a tidy profit as well just in case we all go card dead in the final) Karabiner's post is more of a dig at me for placing a bet after i said that hinted that gambling is a mugs game saying, "at the end of the day it would be better to keep your money in your pocket as the only winner is the bookie"  |
