Okay, here's one I probably should have seen coming...

I recently got myself a BT dial-up account as "back-up" for my Sky broadband, for those rare occasions when loop-unbundled-whatever unravels itself. I considered it roughly the equivalent of investing in blood-pressure medication, as there's little more frustrating for SnG'ers than a disconnection when on approach to the bubble.

Anyway, now I have a problem with Internet Explorer in that when I have broadband activated and try to browse the web it continually asks me to connect to the dial-up account, and in some cases switches to "working offline" mode (meaning that I can't access anything) when I try to get rid of the dial-up box without connecting; it seems at times completely unaware that there's no need to connect to dial-up because broadband is on and humming!

Clearly something is awry with the IE settings, anyone please have any ideas as to how I correct this?
