playing in my first irish game ever and still not knowing the rules

i am pleased to say i saw of redfox, balloo and the infamous FUGU before the final table(well they never made it anyway)

with only 16 starters i was slightly miffed

seeing as i drove 100 minutes thru the driving snow to get there
and spending a total of 160
there was a prize pool of 1460 and 3 places paid

with the blinds going up to 3k 6k (2:30 am)and only 146k split between 5 players
a deal was suggested feeling relieved to have gotten my spends back
and not doing a tikay (bubble) i was quite happy for an even split (1 hand with those blinds meant playing for all your chip)
if was only then when they started spliting the money 5 ways that 2 people said i should get a larger slice
thats i counted my chips and found i had 47k of the chips not wanting to be greedy and knowing that one bad hand
could cost me dearly i gladly took the deal suggested giving me my petrol money on top of an even split
and the award winner of the internationals festivals 20  pot limit irish

(the nearly 2 hour drive home on what look like it was snow covered roads made thr deal even more attractive)

a trip report including some of the fights between FUGU and balloo and some of the intresting hands played will follow if there is any intrest

Whahoo! Well done Ironside, that's terrific. And yes, we DEMAND a Tournament Report!

"doing a tikay (= bubble boy)"...? Pah!
