Just played a hand on Pokerstars and was a bit pleased with it (quad Aces   ). So I went into the Instant Hand History (something I rarely bother to do) and had a scan over everything.

My opponent mucked his cards and yet...when you read the hand history it tells you in the summary (at the bottom) that he had pocket jacks.

Is this right??? Surey if he mucked his cards I shouldn't be able to find out what he had?Huh?

Not that I'm complaining...

Many of the rooms allow you to see the mucked cards at showdown.  Very useful at times.

Get hold of pokertracker and use that to analyse your hands.  Well worth it.

I've heard alot about Pokertracker. Is it complicated to use? How much is the subscription?

Just found it strange that the site doesn't let me see the mucked card (as in bricks and mortar) yet later on I can find out...

It's a one-off fee. About $40-$50 bucks I think

Looks complicated at first, but is well worth the time it takes to get to grips with it. The support available is great if you have any problems.

It does 100 jobs, and you only need to be work out how it does 2 or 3 to start using it and get some value out of it.

Once you do, you'll start want to slowly learning more about how to get the most out of it.

What sorta games you playing?

For STTs, you need to rack up a fair few games with someone before the stats (even your own ones) have real meaning.
Best thing to make use of at first is probably graphically representing your hands. Not comfy with playing JJ early on? You can easily review all the times you've been dealt it at any given level with Playback. Beats staring at hand historys all day.

With other players, their PF raise% and VP$IP at each individual level eventually will give you a good idea as to their range. Look at your own stats, and think about your range for a point of reference as to what their numbers mean.

Total AF gives you an idea as to where they stand on the passive/aggressive scale. (I'm 3.16)
Some guy I have never seen finish anywhere but 4th and 5th is 1.19

All these are viewable under the General Info tab. The Summary tab is a great one to find out who all the sharks and fishes are.

Definately worth buying Lee. You can also buy the omaha and stud pokertrackers along with the hold em version as one package, which works out cheaper than buying all three seperately.

I use it in conjuction with my five free searches at Sharkscope for sit and goes (you have to pay a subscription if you want to do more daily searches) and www.officialpokerrankings.com for multi-table tournaments, which is completely free to use. (My ROI ion there is 77%, which I'm quite happy with)

Not with a static IP you can't. And that's also not an viable option whilst your playing Wink
