i actually thought the play of the tourney was Antonio's re raise with jack 10 against Lodden representing the 3 on a 7 3 3 board, that was class.

how did it finish? i ended up dozing off with the final 4 i think around 12:30

I did exactly the same thing ace!
Gonna watch repeat today anyway.

I assumer the number 1 hand was loddens flush. I think he played it perfectly and until DC raised on the river he thought he was ahead, now how man players do you know would hae laid that down to the raise dave made? Even dave said he couldnt have. Lodden is unbelievable in knowing when he is behind or ahead and we saw him make his first and only mistake of the whole tournament last night when he kept betting with his 10 8 and hutchins had KK and you saw how much he kicked himself.

i actually thought the play of the tourney was Antonio's re raise with jack 10 against Lodden representing the 3 on a 7 3 3 board, that was class.

Wow i knew antonio was good but i never thought he was world class before i saw him on will hill, he dominated his heat and the play bobby said was unbelievable and also the semi bluff against grundy was one of the best i have seen ever!

I really didnt think wendt tactics were going to pay off after seeing him lay down the 10 10 and other nice pairs but obviously it did. Great final now only 12 onths til the next one!!!

antonio made some great plays bobby your right that JT was one for the records

my view on loddens was yes he knew he was beat yes he made a great laydown

but on a dangerous board like that he made a "value bet" when he knew he couldnt call a reraise

as he was unsure where he was in the pot untill DC reraise surely he would of been better off check calling

that way DC would be unable to pull a bluff on him or nake same move with a smaller flush or trips

IT WAS A GREAT LAYDOWN but there were cheaper better options to win the pot

The Grundy vs Antonio Hand a3 vs J8. Do you just have to say too good there, or do you think it's possible to justify a call with Ben's hand? Smiley Would be sick!

I think the performance of Wayne Hutchings  deserves some praise.
He knew he wasn't anywhere near the standard of the other players but it just shows that an internet qualifier playing a tight game can get results.
It should certainly give most of us some hope!

Agreed and to be honest I thought he would have been a deserved winner based on the final. Shame in the end the way he went out in the final hand, but a very nice pay out.
Great tv tourney and can't wait for the next one.

This was by far the best of the made-for-TV tournaments.

Laddies and Matchroom take note - the 8-handed format is much more entertaining in terms of the changing dynamics through each heat/final.

I thought it was excellent TV, good commentary and vey well produced.   That said it was the names and the standard of play that made this tournament, I was very impressed with Lodden and Antonio, but also felt Hutchins played very well, he knew he was outclassed, but he was rarely outplayed.  He deserves his pay day and everyone involved in the tournament deserves a big pat on the back.
