Hello all,
Does anyone know how I search online for old sports clips. ie Nicklaus winning the Masters, Troy winning the Derby etc.
I am a clueless technophobe so this might be easy but im not really having much joy.

Dont want to sound obvious but youtube and google videos has alot of sports stuff on from the past, i tend to look for old footy clips but I am sure there would be golf too.

Dont want to sound obvious but youtube and google videos has alot of sports stuff on from the past, i tend to look for old footy clips but I am sure there would be golf too.

cheers Iron, as I said ive never really used any of these sittes b4 and just asumed you could watch owt you wanted, I was looking for Grand Nationals too but couldnt find many of those. |

cheers Iron, I get it now. If you come across Aldaniti winning the National in around 1981 let me know, I was telling my wife the Bob Champion story last night and wanted to show her the race, it is still one of the only sporting events that bring me close to tears. |

Thanks mate, i will order that film. In a strange way the comm of the actual race makes the hair on my neck stand on end, most people know the Bob Champion story,but the 2nd horse, Spartan missile was ridden by a 54 year old amateur called John Thorne, who I had backed at about 20/1. On the run in the comm goes something like ' John Thorne, 54 year old John Thorne on is coming with a run' and from being 11 years old to this day it is the only time I have wanted a 20/1 shot I had backed to get beaten. For me its one of the most bitter sweet events in sport as 1 year b4 the race Champion was seriously ill with Cancer and the horse was being retired due to injury and the owners only kept it in training just to give Champion something to aim at in his cancer recovery. Yet one year after the race John Thorne had some serious illness/injury that he never really recovered from and Spartan Missile was hit by a car when out hunting. It just encapsulates life's ups and downs in one moment. |
