Ok, so we didn't want a bad beat section, but what about one of those hands where you can't quite believe where that moment of madness came from - that 5 minutes where all those brain cells and books abandoned you for a one way ticket out of that tourney/cash game and you still grind your teeth and whimper as you relive it.

We all do it (some more than others), but let's celebrate our fantastic dearth of logic hands you have played in the last 7 days..

If you do something monumentally stupid outside of the world of poker, then you are welcome in here as well

We are all allowed to be a little dense for a little bit of time you know

Makes us shine brighter the other 98% of the time

Mine isn't a specific, it's just this terrible self-destruct button I have.

Sometimes when on a hand, I just know I am gonna do something stupid, and it's usually a biggie, and I just do it, even though I can pretty much tell that I am on the losing end of it all.

It's part boredom, part "fuck it", and part wishing for a stroke of luck cause it's gonna be a good pot.

I think it's down to discipline, but I usually have that so I don't know how to combat it really

i have that wee voice at the back of your head that tells you "your beat he has the k, a, flush, quads" and yet your hands and mouth tell you to call.

and they dont listen to the wee voice that tells you..he re raised you its not a bluuuff! >:?

have taken to sitting on my hands and using my nose to press buttons or count to 10 before opening gob...it even works sometimes

Mine is easily beating the low limit tables for a ridiculous ammount then taking a bad beat in a couple of big tourneys and instead of going back to small limits I play the bigger n/l tables and smash my remaining bankroll in (on tilt). Has happened a few times and every time I say its the last time I will do that

Been there, done that (repeatedly   ) - I call it my 10 second tilt.

Slowly getting away from doing it. Or at least the stupid mistake isn't as bad (ie going from trying to bluff the big chip leader, who is playing like a rock, and going all in after he sees my first big raise  >:? has now turned to represtenting the flush (which I hadn't hit) - then CHECKING on the river - again  >:? but not as bad as the first one... I think).

Try this as a self dicipline method

Imagine that you are a poker guru and you are teaching a keen novice, you really like this novice player and want to teach him/her well

Before you do anything, explain to the imaginary pupil why you think it's the right thing to do

I would like to confess to drinking too much at the weekend, Tried to compete with kev O'connell ...gave that up after about 20 minutes .... the cheeseburger and sumo fries at the Gutshot was bloody delicious... I had a fabulous few days at the Vic & the Gutshot, great to see so many Blondeites... Simon "Chubbs" Nowab winning a seat to the Aussie millions on Betfair was brilliant.  Heres to the next trip    im on the coffee's next time though

No steak sarnie,  i saw a gorgeous lady eating a cheeseburger and i instantly fell in love ....(with the burger)

Waitresses at the gutshot are very very nice     

Only 2 negs about the place are The lack of air conditioning, and the state of that fish pond type thing downstairs, that was a bloody disgrace.  but as far as the atmosphere and friendly staff, the place was spot on.

kiv... agree there on all you said ..obviously .. I dont fancy the waitresses..... well....  ... no.. we wont go there ...but them poor fish aye...hope they don't come up for air too often..or they'll be dissapointed ..
