Oscar Blanco moved in preflop (not sure for how much, but let's say that it was short enough to do this on a move, but large enough that he had a good chance of getting everyone out of the way without a strong calling hand).  He got a swift call from Eric Van der Berg, who showed - just ahead of Oscar's .
The flop must have brought such hope to one party, and such tension to the other:
Turn:
River:  two spades

And we're down another.  Looks like the 32-player finish line is within sight in the next two levels.

The Scandie invasion continues!

Having said that, I was talking to a Swedish photographer and he said that there are only two Swedes left in, while they'd had seven with 70 players left.  One was the bubble, and three short stacks busted earlier.  How unusual is that?  There are four times as many UK players than Swedish ones in with 36 players left!  Although I wouldn't like to bet that a Scandinavian won't snatch the top spot.

Whilst the Main Event is going on, a bit of space has freed up for us media, predominantly due to the biggest spectacle becoming the $20,000 STT next door involving Greg Raymer, William Thorsson, Azad Pirood, Johnny Lodden, Tore Lagerborg, Joe Hachem and Musaki Kagawi.

15k and I would have played.

David Peters raises it up, Cristinel Dumitru of Romania moves all-in and Peters folds, to the surprise of commentator Barry Martin.

I can see Joe Beevers exiting the feature table. I think he was eliminated by Jan Veit of Germany. If anyone's watching the live feed, then please could you fill us in on the hand details. I heard rumours of a K-Q.
