It was definitely heat 1 of series 4.
Robert Cohen had no english (faking?), and was playing up as a poker Inspector Clouseau, making "mistakes" and constantly re-raising Phil which he hates as we all know. Eventually Phil lost patience and after Robets umpteenth re-raise Phil said a kneejerk/pre-meditated allin. Naturally this time Robert did have the hand and called much to Phil's horror.
Phil was denying the allin as they dealt the remaining board cards and declared Robert the winner. I was shocked at this as the previous series were the first I had seen of Phil, and he went from a masterfull series 3 performance to spoilt kid. But in his defense he is aware of his behaviour but just can't help himself ala McEnroe.

That's a defence? Wow! I wonder if it works for bank robbery?

That's a defence? Wow! I wonder if it works for bank robbery? YES!!! I was going to go with........I tripped over the security guard on my way in to make a routine withdrawall and accidentally beat him unconscious, perturbed by this unpleasant incident i exclaimed: "everybody get down this is a robbery"(the things we say when confused)!! Having regained my composure i get to the bank clerk only to find Ive left my card in doors!!!! FFS!!! what a day, first i sleep in and miss home and away, now this!!! I dont know why i said it but instead of saying"Ive left my card indoors, i'll pop back and get it" "GIMME THE FUCKIN MONEY BITCH" came out instead. My solicitor said that if i went with that story I'd make both of us look stupid and he'd punch me in the head so i went with the: "i'm aware of my behaviour but cant help myself" defense to which the judge replied...."Glad to hear it you little rascal, just dont do it again" and i got a £50 fine.

I had this on VHS until about a month ago. Is this the one where he asked the floor man and dealer if the French guy had him covered? He argued that he didn't intend to raise the amount he did .

Yes, the one where he tried to cheat, but got caught. A good Ambassador for poker he is not......

I like him, he may be mouthy and sometimes overly talkative at the table. However, he doesn't do it in a classless and nasty way like Tony G does. Of course, I am just an observer and have only seen the video clips like everyone else has, who knows what these guys are really like in daily life.

Sark track down Daniel N's last blog (written) then follow the link to nice Mr Helmuths new blog entry, sort of gives you an insight into the man.

Does anyone have or point me in the direction of when Phil Helmet tried to get out of a bad call on Late night poker, with some dodgy excuse about he didn't actually call or something, and basically looking like a spoilt kid?
If you are coming to BB4 I can bring you a copy of the LNP episode. Rather sadly I have nearly all of them on DVD. (copied off the telly)
