How often does a pre flop re-raiser check the flop, especially when this shallow stacked?

I don't like the raise to 6k. Ok, so he prob folds if he's on a total steal, but if he calls hes got 10k back in a 12k pot with irish position and a semi competent player will push when he hits any part of the flop and push a fair amount of bluffs and semi bluffs given the pot size there, giving you no chance to take down the pot.

There are other possibilities such as he has an ace, it comes ace high and he can check knowing you are quite likely to represent the ace.
