I just looked at trains to luton and it says I have to get a train to Milton Keynes and then a bus to luton.  I am terrible at travelling and any changes are bad enough - is this the only way to get to Luton other than by car and air? I fear I will end up in some far away land, all alone... Sad

Well you've ruled out trains, planes and automobiles, theres not much left. You could always try sailing there.

I'm sure you can go from New Street to Leicester, and then on to Luton from there...

Although, not sure what time these trains run.

From where are you travelling Zelda? There has to be a better way than a bus from Milron Keynes, & Luton has two Stations, both on the Midland Mainline.

If you go by train, EITHER.....

Get a train fom New Steeet to Leicester, them it's direct to Luton. (You want Luton, NOT Luton Airport Parkway, ideally, though both are quite close).

OR....

Go via London - go New St to London Euston, then walk along Marleybone Road (or get the Tube, but it's not far), past Britain's ugliest building - The British Library, to St Pancras, (admire the stunning architecture of St Pancras while there) where you can get a Train to Luton (takes 25 mins), or even Kings Cross Thameslink, which also serves Luton, but the Rolling Stock is less attractiive.

cough

when are you wishing to travel down Zelda?

As a valued and integral part of the winning HU team I could meet you at MK if that would help

Only for that reason of course, and because I am local.

I will be the handsome one wearing a red carnation and carrying a copy of The Economist. Or something else similar. Viz maybe.
