when the prizemoney is so huge I agree that a 1k bet at 14s is insignificant but (and its a big but) I have a feeling roland will be not happy with them thinking hes a 14-1 shot and i would be surprised if he hasnt backed himself. There is also a sick pleasure to be gained by taking a bookies money

A big fan favourite here at the Burlington is Brian 'The Fox' O'Keeffe (with two f's).

Signs of Life! Roars, in fact - a lot of excitement as they introduce the finalists... and as if you could miss the huge crowd (Dublin final tables always awesomely atmospheric - I remember the EPT final two years ago was the loudest to date), they've put up a sign pointing at the final table. Both sign and table pictured below:

Straight away, no messing, Roland de Wolfe takes his double up shot, moving in preflop over the top of Nicky Power's preflop raise to 120k.
He's called fairly fast with the
, but he shows
...the crowd divides into shouts of, "Nine!" and "Go on Roland!"
Flop:
Turn:
(someone shouting "King!" for some reason)
River:
So Roland instantly has 700k to work with, allows himself a slight smile knowing he's going to be a nuisance to Sorel Mizzi from this point on, most likely...

The blinds are now 20k/40k ante 3k.
We've been informed that unlike last year, the final six won't be being broadcast live - pioneering though that was, you're going to have to wait for the regular show (although it's not a long wait...).

Mike 'Lucky Blind' Lacey has bets on Roland to exit first and Nicky Power to win.

We might not have encountered any showdowns in the last several hands, but there have been a few raise re-raise folds, with Danny McHugh re-raising Thomas Finneran's 150k bet to 320k and Marty Smyth pushing over the top of Sorel's 111k button raise. Sorel was the only one who asked for a chip count, but he soon folded what was most likely a relatively weak hand.
What today's early action has shown, however, is that the players have decided to go for it, their eyes firmly fixed on that number one spot as opposed to going through the motions and climbing the ladder. They're hear to play and there's a hunger in their eyes, and no one seems more determined now than Roland de Wolfe who has now become a major threat to the remaining players.
