Much easier for the mods that you've kept your identity secret, saves a job.

I still think if Tikay wanted to leave that badly, he should have posted it under his real name, though.

This "balance" thing to which Rich referred is quite interesting actually.

I mean, who "makes" the Forum what it is? (good or/and bad). Yes, the Members, & the Mods, though it's hard to quantify in what proportion, but at a guess, it's 90%+ a function of what the Members make it.

I got attacked several time recently by a Member who said that he could not be arsed to Post on blonde, as so many of the threads were crap. So i said, "well why don't you start a few more "interesting" threads yourself?" He went all mutton-Jeff on me then! There's a thing......

It's free, we do our best, work very hard on it, & folks make their own minds up. That's about the strength of it. Mr "getrealpeople" has "enjoyed" a free Forum, but has had enough of us now. So be it.

Half the questions I ask do seem to go unanswered most likely because i'm new, though maybe I just ask stupid questions hehe, tend to stick to reading unless something particularly interests me now. I don't see why you would tell someone so blatantly disillusioned with this place to mind the door on his way out, probably better to be concerned about why it happened or stay quiet, but then again the post wasn't particularly tacitly worded in itself. I do actually think there are a lack of interesting topics relating to poker at the moment but it's still an interesting forum regardless which is a bonus, so most of the criticism is completely unfair, though there is probably an underlying truth in there somewhere.

As to "the Mods are not what they used to be", that's a little unfair, but everyone is entitled to their view.

I could not be happier or prouder than I am with the current Mods. They are a terrific crew, & work well as a Team.

i've been here since the start and helped tikay out when he was running the forum on his own and i still think i am being ignored when i make a post and that everyones out to get me

its not the case its just sometime you can make the most intresting post but it doesnt grab the mood of the forum and gets ignored  sometimes when asking questions people who are online that day havent a clue if you asked it the week before you would get 30-40 replys and then the thread divered off to something about som e building tikay built back when the romans invaded

I can't say I've ever noticed that new people (or those with few posts) get their queries ignored just because they're new. If someone has a question then, if they make it clear exactly the information they're after, and ask for info, rather than demand it, then it usually gets answered pretty quickly.

I don't see why you would tell someone so blatantly disillusioned with this place to mind the door on his way out, probably better to be concerned about why it happened or stay quiet, but then again the post wasn't particularly tacitly worded in itself.

I posted that mostly because of the particular phrase I quoted - it was the 'something for nothing' aspect I objected to. As Tikay said, this place is exactly what the members make of it. You get out what you put in.

A little while ago Snoopy asked me if I wanted to write some articles for the main site. I said I'd love to. Since then, I've written precisely sod all. If I were to then post a thread on here bemoaning the fact that the articles on the main site were rubbish or whatnot then wouldn't that be really hypocritical? Same with our friend here - if there's not enough 'good poker stuff' then either post some yourself or put a cork in it. It's cost you nothing, you're not handcuffed here.

In my opinion its not someone fed up with the site, rather some shit stirring coward just out to kick up some dust.

If you are really leaving then post under your real name, i would, but the thing is your either not leaving or planning to come back a bit down the line and be content with everything again.

As tighty said he has respect for feedback but i have no respect for someone who doesnt even have the balls to speak out in his own name!!

So good riddance!!!

Given the rate of growth of all things Blonde, I think it is incredible that the place has managed to retain it's integrity and it's comunity feel. Credit is due to all those involved in Blonde for achieving that.

As Blonde continues to grow it is impossible to expect everyone to get along like best mates, there will be more minor disputes and the mods work will get harder and harder.

As Blonde grows, so it will change, it will not suit everyone. Inevitably we will lose members, some of whom will be respected regular posters.

If Blonde no longer suits you and you feel the need to move on, then good luck to you. The internet is a big place I'm sure you can find somewhere that meets your needs.

As someone who doesnt post too much on here I feel I have to make the following comments:

There's so many times I come home after a good or a bad day.. and i KNOW that if I come on here and catch up with everything I generally end up smiling.. tho more often that not I'm generally breaking up with laughter....

And some of the stories I hear... both poker and otherwise are enthralling... where else can do all that?

And to the mods, regulars, updaters and newbies.. keep up the good work .. Smiley

I've been away from blonde for nearly 2 months due to some life changing and I have missed the place so much its untrue, Im currently sat at a mates PC drunk as a skunk and as soon as i knew he had the net i just wanted to post,  Its just a shame that my 1st post back for a while is in a pathetic thread like this one.

If you're not happy with the place then bugger off and find some other mugs who want to listen to your pathetic moaning.

Love Jim,
