I honestly believe if it was only "poker related" there wouldn't be as many members as there are now
Is that a bad thing?
More members, means more subjects in the forum, means there's more chance of something appealling to a member and keeping them interested so in that instance it is a good thing.
Less people means less inerest in Blonde Poker and less interest in the other advertised sites on the Forum, so financially for blonde in this instance, yes, it is a bad thing.
More members dilute the closeness of the smaller group, things are not so personal and thus you lose the intimacy and sense of belonging that comes from it. People tend to resent when the status quo is broken and something or someone new comes on the scene, so in this case, for the individual it, would be a bad thing.
I suppose it all depends where you see yourself fitting into the community as to whether you consider it a good or a bad thing.
Personally I love the site and hopefully it will go from strength to strength. I think for blonde to do this, the community needs to keep expanding so as far as I'm concerned it's a good thing.

Can someone confirm if this was a long time poster using an alias or just a shit stirrer?
surely PI ironside can check the IP and match it with a regular poster. Anyone who wants to leave so be it, theres been a lot of goodbye blonde type threads lately and is there really a need for them? Nobody forces anyone to come here, if you dont want to then don't just stop bloody whining about why you are going- you arent that important that blonde will cease to survive and grow when you've gone.

Welcome back JDx
now i know your pissed .x
Without turning this into a dating section on the forum but.......I always had an eye on you cutey
You must be a "sad, lonely" man because you're having a little flirt on the forum... well... getrealpeople seems to think so. (I don't see a problem in it tbh)
Why don't we all just lose our identities and character and become nothing but poker playing robots thats all act, think and post about the same thing, would make the forum a lot more interesting... no?

I understand not wanting to post it under a genuine name, lots of loyal members tend to rip to shreds posts like this, and it can get personal on either side before long.
Much easier for the mods that you've kept your identity secret, saves a job.
If they are leaving then how exactly will it cause a fight when members point out what they are saying is a load of tosh ? Why hide your id if leaving anyway ? Anyone who has been on a forum longer than 2 minutes will know it's a run of the mill troll post and that it more than likely is a longish term poster. Unoriginal.

it was my attempt at being sarcastic, might leave that upto the experts in the future though

I didn't see this thread yesterday, lol, it must have been pushed down the list with all the non poker related threads
.
I am not sticking up for the OP when I say this but I can see some of his/her points.
There is alot more non poker related threads now than ever. When I 1st joined blonde there were just 2 boards GD and live tourney updates so anything poker was posted on the GD board so it seemed to be full of poker related threads. When there was a discussion about having more boards IE live poker and internet poker all the poker talk moved to there so the GD board is filled with more off topic threads. Now before you bite my head off I haven't said it is a bad thing I said I can see where he/she is coming from.
I also think that it is a good idea to have more boards,as if it was all posted on the GD board it would get filled very quickly and new threads would move down to page 2/3/4 very quickly. But at the end of the day it is called 'The Blonde Poker Forum'
I dont agree that the MODS are worse/better. I think whoever is MOD is doing a good and differcult job but I sort of know what they are saying about senior posters getting away with far more than some.
I think what they said about adverts and the cardroom is unfair. Yes they are more adverts and promoting of the cardroom but it has no effect on the forum really and if that what it takes to keep blonde running and doing all the live updates then great, if you dont want to play on blonde or any of the other cardroom that we have links to then dont.
Like I said at the start I'm not agreeing wholey with what the OP said just I can see some of his/her points so please dont hound me out of the place

Sorry but the original post really made me quite angry...........
but let's start by getting a two things straight
I am not a mod and would never want to be one
I am not financially involved in any way with blonde.
A general discussion board should do exactly what it says on the tin......so if you are having a bad day why not post it and get it out the system, and if you are using the site to meet people, good for you because you already have something in common.
As regards the moderators I have no idea if they are better or worse, what I do know is that this site is still one where you do get sensible opinion.
As regards having trouble with change. Might I suggest that you buy a copy of "Who moved my cheese?"
Now I play on Pokerstars they have a format of qualification for big tournaments that suits my style of play. So much so that I have been to both the WPT and WSOP with them. Do I get rakeback with them? No. Do I know any of the people behind the site? No I do not. When I play on the blonde web site at least I have some idea of where the money goes. Personally I would rather support this place than any other because of its honesty. Do I like the software? Not especially. Does it matter? Not especially. Do I know the people behind this site? Yes some of them. IMHO are they good people? Yes in my dealings with them. Could I talk like this about stars..........no
In two weeks time 200 of us will get together to play some poker. In two weeks time 200 of us will get together to enjoy each others company. Long may it continue.
So I say to you Getrealpeople...............I think it is you who needs to get real

Not only buying a copy but also reading a copy of "who moved my cheese" what an excellent idea!!
Or failing that ask your HR dept they tend to have a copy or two floating about, I gave a copy to each member of my team!
