Hmmmm, Giants win third game on the bounce to move within 1 game of .500 and Mariners lose again.

Maybe i should learn to become LAG when it comes to my banana bets!!

Watched the cubs game as it was the early evening game over here - bit like a game of N/L hold'em. One mistake and its over, not much by way of offence from either team but one 2-run homer proved costly.

Had it when it was NASN for £7 a month - refused to pay £15 a month when satanta sports took it over. Until they change it where i can just get the NASN channel i wont buy the package. There isnt enough variety for me to warrant paying that much. Yes when the playoffs are on for the hockey maybe but during the regular season there just isnt enough choice of games.

With mlb.tv i get the choice of watching whatever game i like - and if its boring i switch to another. And when i say £10 a month, thats the most expensive package. If you get the standard yearly 400k streaming its £45 a year for every mlb game during 2007.

If you visit nhl.com's video section you can get the highlights of every game for free, ok so its not the same as watching the games live but more often than not i dont stay up til 2am to watch the games live anyway just the highlights on the following day.

No i hadn't forgotten - i just remember how bad we were last season and for us to win 3 on the trot before another team picks up just the one win didnt happen that often!! (even the cubs won shutting out the reigning champs to boot!) Cheesy

Hopefully its a sign of things to come but i find it unlikely Sad (though i see my dark horse tip is running away with our division)

The Cubs have such bad luck, all our pitchers are hurt, or big $$$$  Soriano is a wimp, They need to be sold to Mark Cubin (Dallas Mavs NBA owner) so we get someone in there to run the club right.

When I won the bracelet I wore my Cubs jersey, the best line of the ESPN broadcast was this:

" Brian Wilson is trying to do something in a Cubs jersey that has not been done since 1908............................................................ win a championship"

Now that is funny

Technically the cubs have won things recently - for the last two years running they've won the National League "wooden spoon" Cheesy

(Just be thankful for the Royals always being there to prop everyone else up!! Wink)
