Homer for bonds alert....Smiley 18 left then he can retire.

16 with any luck!!

He hit 740 against the d'backs, he's chasing 755 - if he stays of the d/l this year he should make it!!  Roll Eyes

Lol, lets not get too carried away!!

If we can stay in touch for the wild card race that will be a good season in my eyes. Like i already said in another post i think the dodgers will walk our division (and possibly the national league) this season.

Aye, just hope we can avenge the opening game sweep we suffered at the hands of the dodgers - not only would that mean winning 8 on the bounce but would virtually put us level with them for the lead in the division.

now i'm the one getting carried away!! Cheesy

All this talk of Baseball and not one mention of my hometown team.  Yeah, ok...we're not great, but we're over .500........for now.

GOOOOOOOO CLEVELAND!!!!

Here's the standings for the whole lot at the minute:

As much as I'm loyal to my Cleveland team, New York Mets and Boston Red Sox look like the teams to beat so far this year.  New York could be in a bit of bother in the National League with a few teams close on their tails, but the only team coming close to the Mets in the American League is Cleveland.  Fingers crossed!!!
