John Gale has doubled up. There was a raise to 700, a call and an all-in for 7 from John.
The original raiser folded but the caller swiftly shoved in a 10k chip.

During the break I deviated towards the sandwich shop instead, leaving Snoopy to settle for ice-cream after waiting for half of it. Here's a virtual doughnut to make up for it. The little things at Bellagio cost a reasonable whack - $10 sandwiches, $5 cherry cokes... well that's what you get if you want someone to come round every half hour and indent a cursive capital 'B' in your standing ashtrays.

That's only about 20p at the exchange rate though, isn't it?
And tell Snoopy that ice-cream doesn't constitute a meal.

What brian townsend says about the trny:
Bleh out before first break
Just got busted from the tourny. I ran top two pair into bottom set twice within the first hour. First hand Andrew Black limped UTG and called in the small blindwith K7o, bb checked and we took the flop 3 handed. Flop was K74r and I led for 300. The big blind called and Andrew raised to 800 total. I reraised to 2800, folding out the big blind and Andrew called. Turn came T I bet 4800 Andrew called. River came 2 completeing no flushes, I checked Andrew bet 10K and I called. I don't know how I feel about the call as on the river I really only beat 65, but I have never played with Andrew and I am not going to make a huge fold like that in a tourny.
Next big hand happened 5 min later and at this point I was down to 30K in chips. It was folded to lyle berman on the button who made it 300. I reraised with A9 of diamonds to 1100. He called. Flop came A53 with a flush draw. I checked and called 2200. Turn brought a 9 not completing the flush. I checked he bet 6K I made it 15K and he called. River came K of spades and I pushed my remaining 12K into the middle. He thought a bit and called with pocket 3's.
2nd hand there was no getting away from, first hand I really thought I was beat but I couldn't fold against an unkown in a tourny.

Yes, spotted him during level 1 when I was taking note of the faces I recognised, but he soon departed at the hands of Lyle Berman, 2 pair versus set, although he was down to 15k at the time.
