Thanks for the responses guys. I definately can take banter at the table, and think this is a great part of the game. I do think, though, questioning someone's sexuality to cackles from the table is closer to bullying than banter.
I have played against Tony G, and although he might go too far, his ramblings are witty and clever, unlike yours. If watch again, he always picks on well known professional players, not people he does not know. He was a great presence at the table of realtively unknown players, and shook my hand and congratulated me when I knocked him out.
The main reason I was complaining about the video was a compltete misrepresentation of what happened when I knocked Mickey out. With a Chinese whisper exagerration allowed to take place, and this go down as fact on the official site with no way for me to respond seems to be unfair.
As for the poker, I am amazed you are still bullish about a hand where you tried to give me all your chips and nearly knock yourself out outside the money. It didn't occur to you that I wasn't just some kid, but someone who had guessed that your ego would get in the way if I raised your blinds a couple of times, and then set it up for the big catch? It can't possibly have been from tilt after your eloquent gay joke, as the only time I raised your blind after it was the aces hand. You really thought that, having effectively let me know that you would defend with anything, that I might not have a big hand this time?
I don't want to seem like a sore loser, Barry will recall me wishing him good luck as I left the casino. I did walk straight away from the table, as you mention, when the jack hit the river. I do not see anything wrong with that, there are no photos and stopping for a chat for the 44th place finisher. There was no time to wish good luck, as you were cheering and screaming at the top of your voice. I think that anyone who knows me will know that I am never at all confrontational at the table. The only reason I am arguing about the poker facts was that I couldn't believe they are misrepresented as much as the rest of it. Banter is a great part of the game, I don't want to seem like someone who can't have a laugh. Banter is two-sided though, which is why I find it strange to find a video having a laugh at me, an unknown player, on the GUKPT site.
I know I might well come across as a bad loser for taking on someone with heroic status, but I felt no choice but to respond to things in the video which aren't true. I hope for anyone who doesn't know me they will reserve their judgement till they do. Thanks guys

The video in question has now been removed from the GUKPT site and You Tube. Putting the video on the site was not done to intentionally laugh/offend at anyone and I apologise to Stuart and anyone else who may have been offended by Barry's comments. I wanted to capture as much natural reaction as possible in my interviews and across the 4 separate clips I did with Barry over the weekend, he came across very well in general. Barry sometimes causes offence with what he says, but he does it in a relatively good natured way, so he gets away with it...most of the time.

Ok Bazza it was an absolute pleasure battling against you. What a match. Many thanks for your kind comments but without the jack of clubs on the river we might still be playing now. You were just unlucky at the end...not outplayed.
I bet the TV crew weren't too happy with us finishing at gone 3 in the morning. they probably expected to be in bed by midnight.
That was undoubtably the best heads up match I've ever been involved in.
Well played.

Sorry to change the tone slightly, indeed many congrats to Barry and to Dave for their wins. However, having seen the second video of the two posted, I feel I need to respond. I was "the young kid," who apparently ran round screaming having knocked out my friend Mickey, and therefore deserved this deluge of abuse, including being accused of being gay.
Let me give my account of when I knocked Mickey out, as there has obviously been a massve Chinese whisper effect. I did overreact, which I do not usually do, pumping my fists where I was standing behind the table, but did not make a single noise. I admit to this being a little too much, I was feeling the sheer relief of finally having a hand stand up, but didn't feel it was any more at all than alot of people celebrate. I soon thanked Nick Slade who put me right for overcelebrating, and made a mental note to be more emotionless.
I think Blonde/Blue Square need to be more careful making a showing videos which have a laugh at a unknown player, who has no defence. (Even the 16 outs on the river is an exaggeration- the 9 picture cards are outs).
It's all too easy with poker to have bad sentiments towards and be nasty to people you don't know, but also possible to show alot of respect and humility. The later is an atmosphere that Blonde encourages through all its brilliant services.
Cheers guys, many congrats again
hhmmm feel i shouldrespond s i have been named , stuart reacted with a little to much passion on takingmickey out , i asked him to show little more respect , he then did it again when he took a huge pot down the very next hand , i told stuart to again sit down and behave , in his defence there was no malice in his fist pumping and it was sheer relief . I HAD A QUIET word with him in the break and he said thankyou and would learn from his actions ,, which i have to say is admirable.
ironically he got massively outdrawn by barry not long after , and brry punched the table , so it was ironic.
somebody did ask stuart if he was gay , out of order some would say, but if you you can guess who asked the question , then you would understand the humour of the individual. i hope you werent to upset by it stuart .
just keep playing and learning ,you have a good game , it was el blondie and barrys tourney from day 2..........
as for the final it was another experience for me , well played to all the finalist , dave spiking the 9 on the river was a gut wrenching experience , i would have loved to have got to heads up with him.
dave played very well . but i was chuffed for barry , i hope he gets deep again real soon ,as long as i am not on his table , i cant take his karaoke singing to his daughters ipod ever again.
well done dave and big b

I agree, comments about someone's sexuality have no place in or out of poker.
Well done, barry, on some talented aggressive play. Didn't know you would get so deep. Do you often find yourself coming from behind?
