I am not sure we envy DrPauly's front row seat at le Spectacle de Hellmuth (he's rubber band flicking distance from the Great Man...) - we can hear a lot of the ranting from our safe spot.  Hellmuth wants it reported, he gets it reported...

Mid 15-min break.  When they get back we've got some bubble-hovering to do.  It's about 100 times easier here since there's a kind of bottleneck into the Fontana bar and the idle curious are kept outside it.  While I am all for allowing spectators in, they do tend to crowd four deep around any table with action on it like in Dortmund, making it impossible to see what's going on.

Let's get a better idea who's been redrawn with whom...

Humberto responds to the recent Phil Hellmuth streaking incident that occurred an hour or two back.

Has he climbed across tables asking people not to call, like he did against you in the media event? Cheesy

They're racing off the orange 500 chips, leaving just the 10k and 1k ones behind.

Blinds 4k/8k ante 1k

any idea of how many entered, and the average stack?

Any Irish left?  (double check Alan Smurfits birthcert if he is nearby!)

Thanks for the updates.

636 entrants; using the figure of 31,950,000 in play, I calculate the average stack at 304,285.714285recurring.  Or roughly 300k

No Irish, I am afraid.

Hand for hand...

Progress is very slow because it's hand to hand with so many tables, but word is that on the last hand we lost two players from separate tables.

They're are currently undertaking a head count.

And the reason they are doing so is that there was a double all-in last hand!  After an abysmally long time while the clock was ominously not stopped the tension felt by Robert Mizrachi, all in with his must have been unbearable.  He was up against , but all in for what looked to be about 40k.
Flop:
Turn:
River:  two spades  (You knew it was a spade from the intake of breath from all the other players at the table, and that resigned and heavy look on Mizrachi's face...)

He makes the minimum of fuss, while news of the double knockout spreads with a kind of guilty cheer through the room.  "Yay!" go a lot of the others who are guaranteed their 100th-51st £46,410, but you have to feel for the Double Bubble.

Humberto, who scraped into the money with just 10,000 (4/8k blinds remember), has just doubled up with vs. three diamonds.

Board = Two Diamonds

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuumbertoooooooooooooooo

Marc Goodwin's claim to fame is that he knocked out Mr 100, Queens v Deuces, and is now up to 300k.

Go the Brummie Pimp!!!

Okay, looking back through the start of day table list, here are a few names that slipped under the radar:

Isabelle Mercier
Martin De Kjniff
Eric Friberg
Freddie Deeb
Amir Vahedi
Chip Reese

All out.

Incredibly, Humberto Brenes has gone from 10k to 90k.

"It's easy, I told you," he says delighted.
