Timothy McCarthy: Stoic short stack.  Pictured here when all in... I thought the Irish could adopt him as, despite clearly being American, he's got "Irish 1" on his bright green shirt.  Could keep you interested...?

Humberto Brenes is OUT.  Cry

Didn't catch the hand, but I hear he got rivered.

AIP, AQ vs 1010, hit a queen on flop, then a 10 on river, would have been a great comeback from 10k to 550k+

Roland de Wolfe raised it preflop to 34k, was called by neighbour Carlos Mortensen.  It passed round to small blind Jared Hamby who re-raised a further 65k.  A half hearted, "How much you playing...roughly," from Roland later and he let that one go, as did Carlos.  Here they are pictured pretending that didn't happen, and Jared is the one getting the sidelong superstare from Irish1 McCarthy...

Barny Boatman is OUT.

He raised it up with , but found a raise and a re-raise behind him.

With 90k in front of him and a 350k pot on offer, Barny decided to gamble.

As he expected, his cards were live as the re-re-raiser had A-K, which ultimately stood up, even though Barny flopped a cheeky flush draw.

He looked genuinely gutted, but he had a good run this year and he'll be back. Only a matter of time before he cracks a big comp.

This gent is still in, name:  Robert Wazelle - Snoopy got talking to him in the buffet queue last night, and it turns out he's not a pro player, he qualified for a couple of hundred bucks, and his profession is being in Medieval recreations for four months a year (the WPT Championship is taking a bite out of the season, but I'm sure he won't mind now).  The rest of the time he lives in a cabin in the woods.  Snoopy asked him, "So, do you have running water," to which he replied, "I built a well.."

Genuinely hope he makes it further on, hearing his bio read out on TV would make a fascinating change.
