poker upper age limit

I signed up to a new site recently but put the wrong date in by mistake for my date of birth (I clicked on 1900) I tried to continue signing up but it gave me an error message "Sorry, if you are over 100 yrs you must contact our customer service department before playing on our site." What check would they carry out on the phone???

I guess the lower age limit should be questioned also. Was recently babysitting my 5 year old nephew (razor sharp little monkey), and it was only matter of time before he caught me playing poker (on PKR, he loved the avatars). Demanded to have all the rules explained. Hit quads in a cash game my AK vs AA (woop woop), he shouted at me that I wasn't betting enough (£60, and told me to put it up all the way to £250). Caught me watching rounders (Damon AA999 river versus KGB AAA99) 'He should just call' and Joe Beevers getting endbluffed in a team game v Holland ("He should really really call"). If my sister caught me coaching him in poker she'd kill me though. I'm sure some folk out there are prepping their young'uns already, a la Tiger Woods.

I often want to thank him, he taught me everything I know. I guess that's why he's gone ex-directory.
