i have just got a new game for my PC

rome total war alexander expansion pack

when i try to install it     it tells me that i need patch 1.5/1.6 is

anyone know what this is and how i get it

If its an EA game go to EA's website then search it for patches for go to file planet and do the same just type in the name of the game and thae patc number you need should find it np or if that fails google it

got to the site    downloaded it   patch 1.6  or at least i tink i did  went to reinstall the game

get same message  need patch 1.5/1.6

more help needed

Forgive me for stating the obvious, but you have got the actual game as well and are not just trying to play an expansion pack... you would be surprised how many people don't realise the difference.

i have all the total war games

it took about 6 mins to download then just finished  there was nowhere to double click

It might be in your temp files, or in the game folder itself.

Try to download it again (it should happen automatically) then when it finishes either

a) note the location where the file has been downloaded to, navigate there via windows explorer and double click on it

OR

b) Choose Open from the download properties box

ok   redownloaded

i had a zip file appear on my desktop

i opened it   it had a file inside

i doubleclicked it and the install wizard started

all good
