The email entry route is being used on this occasion as we believe there is a real danger of overselling this tournament.  That could occur if a large number of players were at an early stage of the payment process on Metacharge as the 103rd player completed his transaction.

APAT do not envisage needing to use this method again, as we hope to move to regional qualifying for the domestic tournaments in season two.  APAT did not feel it appropriate to run a consecutive member draw either.

The next phase of the APAT website developement will remove the potential to oversell.

The 103 seats will be allocated in strict order of receipt by APAT, ie order within inbox.  That can easily be independently verified.

Please work with us everyone.  We are doing our best to work with the tools at our disposal in season one.

Cheers,

Des.

Des,

With you mentioning regional qualifiers, this is something that you have thought about and decided it will be an avenue to explore. Will under these proposals seats be allocated pro rata per region/members Will people from scotland be able to enter qualifiers in other regions.. Or will the be 25% seats scotland, 25% seats wales, 25% seats Egland, and the rest online. If so I am off to scotland...

Ironside, Suited Jock... easy get in up there....

Seriously though Des, could you enlighten us a bit on your thought and ideas for this type of qualyfying...

It is too early to discuss at this level of detail Jimmy.  However, APAT do intend to review all elements of season one and there will be opportunities for member input prior to final decisions being made.  Details to follow.

i really really dont like the sound of regional qualifing

i aint traveling to enter a sat to win a £75 seat

the nearest casino to me is 90 minutes drive away

driving back from this would be a nightmare

the chances of getting a quailfier there with enought people to play nil

the next nearest is 3 hours away meaning an over night stay costing as much as the seat i win

people who live further north than me would be even worse postion

so regional and internet quailfing only would see me leaving the tour

there has to be options to buy in direct

Also important that the qualifiers follow the general idea of the APAT of decent play - and aren't bingo-fests with super-quick structures, etc.
