You are from up elgin way arent you. Best probably to fly to manchester and there is a train direct from airport to blackpool (about 40mins). Ring the casino for details as they are all up already.

Woodsey

i cant get to stanstead from here without going past blackpool by road or rail
unless i fly into another london airport and get a taxi to stanstead

basically makes the trip worse than going by rail

where abouts are you?  easiest way if ur in london, is to get a train to picadilly then a train direct to blackpool, then a taxi to the casino, it prob cost you about 90/100 quid,

danny i heard has broke his leg, so dont think he will be manageing this event, not to sure tho havent been for 2 weeks,  but u can give the casino a ring or u can register at any grov for the events,

i think train is the best way to go, dont have to waite around for ages in the airport lol,

see u there

i live in the north of scotland
train last time was a nightmare
including having to be carried accross the track
and changing stations in glasgow
and missing connections
meaning i got into blackpool just
in time to book into the hotel
and get to casino to play
after leaving my house at 8 am

ironside,

manchester is definitely your best bet flying from aberdeen or glasgow. there is no train from liverpool airport so you'd have to go into the centre and still face 2hrs on the train.  it actually takes a surprising 1 hr 50 minutes to get to blackpool from manchester on the train.
with your combined flight and check in time, i hate to say it, but i'd actually drive or catch the train. given your difficulties with the train last time, perhaps the drive is the best bet Sad

i don't know how fast you drive (i never speed, of course Wink) but i would say about 3.5 hours from glasgow is about right. my brother lives in glasgow and i'm in preston so i speak from an informed perspective.

hope this is helpful,

dan.

Manchester from Aberdeen is your only real hope ironside

Yes Bluewolf get the flyers and stuff sorted. Smiley

I would have presumed they had already been sent out. I'm sure if you call him he will post everything u need up to you. the number is 01253 341222

And yes Danny may not be runnin the show this time round but I'm sure Kriss and Clare will cope admirably in his absence like they have been doing so far. But who knows it's a good 3 weeks away, and breaks heal so he may be there.
