There are plenty who doubt Hatton's talent still.

Not only can he brawl well, he can actually box when he needs to, and like you said - he trains to fight hard for the full 12 (and beyond), something De La Hoya couldn't quite manage against Mayweather.

Hatton has toiled to last the 12 in his last two fights. Which admittedly is uncharacteristic of him, his lifestyle (ballooning in weight between fights) maybe catching up with him?  I think that definetly has a part, and the fact he isnt fighting as regularly as he used to doesn't help (carrying the weight for longer).
