MODS??

I'm a little confused The people whose names show up in pretty colours I understood as being Mods, people there to help and guide you, am I right in this?

I PM'ed a mod earlier asking for a little advice on how to upload a pic onto discussion board, was itching to start another usless thread This Mod appears to have been online most of afternoon but hasn't responded, so i'm all disappointed my thread will have to be shelved until I can get some help

well, technically the mods are here to moderate the forum, rather than just give help and advice (although most of them are very good for that too).  I expect Kev has been busy behind the scenes, and just hasn't got around to answering your message yet.  If you need help with this kind of thing quickly, the best thing to do is post an open message on general discussion and I'm sure you'll get a response right away

Claws's is suggestion is probably the best and quickest way to get a response.

To upload a pic, simply type out the message you want, then go to Additional Options underneath the text box that you type your message. Click Browse to locate where you piccie is stored on your PC, then just post

When i do that it says nothing is in the text box, suggestion was my pic was too big so went off trawled the net and found a smaller one but still didn't work so just wondered if I was doing something wrong. Kev was online so thought i would just ask but do understand he has better things to do than humour my daft posts lol

I read it, but when i got to the part of you adding pics, i got scared and thought that for the good of the community I would ignore you and hope you changed your mind

Is this pic on you PC or located on the net?

ps, Kev only just about knows how to turn his pc on....

your pic needs to be less than 75kb.  I don't think that's the problem though - you need to put something in the text box, so trying again and just typing a full stop or something in the text box should work.

Alternatively, if you can host the picture at somewhere like photobucket you can put the url in the body of your post like this (but without the spaces) [ img] url [ /img]

When i do that it says nothing is in the text box...

I think you also have to type something in the text box, you can't just post the picture.

So type something, even if it's only a few dots (like, type .... into the text box when you upload the pic.)

If anyone gets frustrated at slow replies to PM's by Mods, please understand that we all get shedloads of PM's, & we deal with them as quickly as possible.

Kev's first priority is the blonde Cardroom, which he is trying to rev up, so he gives priority to Cardroom queries first. All Cardroom questions to Kev are dealt with promptly, I believe.
