Greetings poker enthusiasts.

Play for Day 1B starts at 4pm (3pm UK time), and once again, we're expecting a field of around 70 with hopefully a few bigger names.

I can tell you that Freddie Deeb and WPT winner Jon Hennigan have made the trip across the pond, so at least we should experience a little more 'big name' flair for Pool 2. Hopefully they brought a few other American stars along for the ride in order to spice things up.

Either way, Jen (yes she's back after her excellent performance in the Ladies' European Open) and I will be doing our very best to bring you the best coverage on the net.

Please do join us, even if it's just to join in with the banter. It gets lonely over here sometimes.  Cry

Snoopy clearly doesn't need me using up a precious power outlet and the Wifi, he's doing such a good job, but either way I am fresh off the Eurostar and ready to, if not add to the updates, at least think of some new tangents.

Our poker table/press work surface was up until literally minutes ago being used for a single table satellite, but just as we got here the short stack was all in with Kings against A-J.  One Ace smacked later and we're up and running.  Snoopy just brings a cloud of dodgy luck wherever he lurks...

Day 1B's players are sat (well, most of them) and gently sweating in the familiar mugginess of the Aviation Club, waiting for the order to Shuffle Up and Deal...

Incredibly (well, not so over here I guess), we've had an all-in already, the two players pictured below somehow doing battle in a 30k+ pot.

I joined the action with the board reading and a chunk of chips scattered in the middle, plenty of yellow thousands too.

Stephane Krausz was all-in for 7,500 and the decision was down to the other chappy, Vikash Dhorasso, who didn't look too confident at all.

As expected, he folded, but it's quite remarkable to see such action at such and early stage.

Runasson Runar was all-in for 7,500 and the decision was down to the other chappy, Vikash Dhorasso, who didn't look too confident at all.

I guess that's what the former Lyon and Milan player is doing these days after getting sacked from PSG!!

Thanks to Benjo for spotting this one - it's pretty good - Sorel Mizzi (who seems to be everywhere nowadays) against Fabrice Thuil... They see a flop which Fabrice check-raises... Sorel calls.  The turn and river are three clubs , so this is what gets the of Fabrice interested in paying off Sorel's ahead-all-the-way ...

Pictured below: Sorel Mizzi, confident even before this confrontation gave him a nice chip advantage on his table...
