I went to Golden Sands a couple of years back,

Pros:

Cheap beer
Cheap good basic food
Nice beaches
Cheap shopping in Varna

Cons:
2 weeks was too long, I'd had enough after a week.
Lots of hookers, who are very forward, even when you're with the missus.

I went skiing in Bansko in February of this year...

PROS
Good snow Smiley , okay that one's pretty irrelevant for you.
Cheap food. Cheap beer. Cheap accomodation. Cheap shoes lol.
Friendly people in the main.
Nice scenary.
Interesting history.

CONS
Taxi drivers will take you for a ride!! Always agree a rough price before you get in the taxi, but even then they can get very aggressive when you refuse to pay more than they initially said.
Bloody cold when I went (but what do you expect on a skiiing holiday lol).
Food is bad for veggies.

Went to Sunny Beach last year, nice enough resort however got fedup by everyone trying to rip you off.
Restaurants add meals onto your bill that you never had. (Three times in two weeks.) They're not even subtle about it though adding on an amount that is greater than any meal you've had.

I met 3 bulgarian poker players on a trip recently and they were the biggest fish ever. They must have dropped $25k between them in 4 days, so find a game if u can Wink

Lol, forgot about that one.. That's true too. If you give them an amount more than the bill, you'll be waiting a long time for your change too, as they often think that is the tip!!..
