Hi all

I've played live on only a few occasions and with a couple of weeks off work, I've decided to continue my poker "education"

Playing the donkafest £2 rebuy tomorrow night.. which I'm fairly comfortable with

Thursday night I'm playing a £30 f/out.. quite a lot more than I usually play for at the mo...

Any advice?

Make sure you have 15 rebuys tomorrow. Then you won't be nervous about splashing £30 on the the freezeout...

I'm not particularly nervous about playing.. its more how to play it etc..

I'm assuming i'll be playing the 1st few levels pretty tight and pushing harder the higher the blinds get..

AMC you have a great game online as I know but playing live is a whole different ball game.

I like you havent played much live and I find that I play much tighter for fear of looking an "eejit" (idiot) and im also aware that experienced players are going to spot the tells of an inexperienced player.

My advice would be to play exactly as you would online (ive folded too many hands that I shouldnt have) but more important try to give any "tells".

cheers for the ideas and support so far guys n gals

its the £2 rebuy tonight. Fairly comfortable with the structure of it ( 1st time I played this I finished 3rd)

Just under 6 hours to go but already looking forward to it..

When I get to the last 2/3 tables ( I usually have done).. I must remember to keep calm and think!!

Sit on your hands before making a decision - whether it be fold, call or raise.  That way it'll slow you down so you think before doing anything.  It'll also hide any tells through acting too quickly, etc.
