Well, despite some grumbling from the players (who soon realised they weren't going to get anywhere at all) they've stuck to their decision:  playing down to Six tomorrow, and then the final on Friday as originally planned.  Cash games still going strong...

This was meant to be Snoopy's day off, but it looks like it's both of ours!  Hehehehe.  The internet just stopped working right when the clock was paused at end of play (with five minutes to go of the first level of the day!) so I'm on the card at the moment - can't do any work anyway so it's off to the bar/museums/cash games for me.

Bonjour les Anglais!

The final two tables, hopefully rested after their miniday yesterday, are just kicking off.  Same level they were playing yesterday, unbelievably... 1,600/3,200 ante 300 for a few minutes.

Attack of the Eights:

Paul Gourlay all-in under the gun with the Eights, no call, but some blinds for the Rocketman...

David Redlin all-in with against ..a board of Two Clubs looked good for one but better for the other and the short-stacked American doubles up to around 150k.

  Cooooeeeee

Csaba Kuremszki is OUT, rocked by Ram Vaswani who er... I guess rocked the Casaba (ahem).

Anyhow, I joined it at the very last second, but looking at seating position, it appears as though Csaba raised pre-flop from middle position and Ram smooth called from the big blind.

All the money flew in like lightening on an board, and the cards were turned over.

Csaba =

Ram =

Turn =

River =

Tough one, huh?

And first eliminator Ram is the first to get a change for some blue 10k chips... they will make the counting easier although it will ruin Will Ma's colour coordination (picture 2).

Doesn't Ram look a bit like he might be in an Olympic team of some sort?  When they make poker a sport...

And extreme short-stack Yuri Kerzhapkin doubles through (I am sure I've said that at least twice a day...) all in preflop with vs. neighbour Tor Gammelgard's Two Diamonds.  The little pair makes two pair with the help of the board, and he's still there.
