Are we on for the festival week Tikay? Surely you have managed to steal enough players from other casinos who are willing to play for you by now. Suggested format - between 7 and 10 per side. 2 table freezout for an agreed fee per man. Winner plays the ws with the money and we all have a share (% to be agreed obviously) in him/her. This would give the notts boys a % of one of the blackpool boys' world series run. We can agree terms nearer the time obviously but are you up for it or what?Huh?

Surely there needs to be a trophy of some sort for the winning cardroom, one that can be played for every year?

I am sure something can be arranged but bragging rights is all either casino is after I am sure. We will have to see if Tikay has manged to steal (sorry recruit Grin) enough players for the Notts team first. Think it would be a great game and certainly would be nice to have a percentage in a good player in the world series (It will take a good player to win with the expected lineup so it probably rules me out of contention)

Of COURSE we are up for it, but I am struggling for time to organise it.

Can Greg Hill assist maybe?

Like Ariston says, this is all about bragging rights. Notts have them, but are happy to defend them. One of our lads has Finalled in the opener at this week's Luton Festival I see. Go on the Nowab!

Thanks JT, now come on Greg, get it sorted.

By the way JT, please don't assume you are selected. We gotta treat this half serious.

Right.....
Here are some suggested details

what about 5 - a - side? (poker that is!) - we might struggle at football... (what with Julian's love for the game and Tikay being 72 years old and a Brentford fan!)

600 a man (winner takes all - 6 grand), but is HAS to cover WSOP entry and a few expenses and they must agree to the below % savers. (we could add a few extra players, who we know and can trust to reduce the cost)

30 minute clock (4000 starting chips with a normal ante structure beginning with 25-50). Strictly NO OTHER business to be done.

Winner: first prize of 6K and 50% of wsop winnings
Runner Up: 27% of WSOP winnings
Third: 16% of wsop winnings
Fourth - 10th: 1% of wsop winnings

I am at Luton Wed thru Sunday. Ariston, if you make yourself known to me (i will be the youngest and best looking person in the room) we can sort for either Friday afternoon or Sunday, whenever really!

I guess we will have to be team captains (below is my side)

Notts:
Greg Hill (thats me)
Tikay
Julian Thew
Rob Yong
Nik Whiten

Your side (being though Burnely John and Simon Nowab are cup tied) your team so far looks like this. You need to fill in the gaps and we'll get it on!
Blackpool:
?
?
?
?
?

Lets get ready to RUUUUUMMMMMMBBBBBLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Way to go Greg, now come on Ariston, lets haggle & then do it.

As for Notts, depending upon who is available, tikay don't mind being non-playing Captain & "coach" (hehe) depending upon who is available.

And I wonder is 5 too many - I mean, can Blackpool muster 5 players? I can't think of any big names that play there. Except Alli Mallu, & he's ineligible.

I thought the trophy would be the ultimate bragging rights. You could put it on the wall in Notts and whenever anyone from Blackpool dared venture there you could very politely point out what it was for Cheesy

Maybe I'm the only the one who acts like that though  Embarrassed

Hi Greg,

I can make a guest appearance for the Notts mob if needed.  Would love a shot at the Blackpool Rocks!

Get that Greg, count Rumit amongst those who wanna help duff up the Blackpool Boys. He's a long standing Notts Boy anyway.

Notts are going to have one helluva team, eh?

And notice how quiet it has gone on the Blackpool front? (Pardon the pun....)

IS THERE ANYBODY THERE.....?

Damn you Jim, you got me there......

But I WAS well ahead in Friday's cash game at Gutshot. Thewy says "lets go after one more hand". Two rounds later, he is still there, nattering away like an old woman, so I am stuck there too, we have come in my car, & he, wisely, has the keys. Then the T-2 v Q-2 incident developed, and most of my 800 profit magically disappeared, ending up in front of Thewy. And HE had been 200 DOWN when he first suggested leaving!
