Rest Assured Tikay all is not quiet on the Blackpool Front........

We are merely taking stock of the undeniable opportunity being afforded to us.

With that in mind we are keen to ensure we structure a team that counters the balance of your proposed players.

With such rich resources available to us we are spoilt for choice and may therfore defer our team announcement to maintain the element of surprise.

NB. Please stop referring to Simon Nowab as a Notts player - obtaining a ride back from the Vic with Rob and Nik doesn't constitute a transfer agreement. If we hear of any more approaches to the Cuddly One this week.............................. Just think Ashley Cole!!!!

The match is on, and If a Blackpool player wins it I will give them a $1000 personally for their expenses in Vegas. We dont want Nowab or the Skull adopted into our team, Nowab stayed at my house the other night and i caught him going through my girlfriends underwear draw claiming he was sleepwalking, and Burnley Jon is a miserable git who reminds me of Steptoe.  See u on Thursday, Simon.

Hehe, way to go Rob, get in their faces, eh?

But that's a hollow offer of $1,000 - youi know damn well your money is safe.

And not a word from Ariston still. Bet he's trying to get into the Notts team too. No chance!

Ok as I am in Ireland I am having to visit the library each morning to return emails and answer silly quotes from various people (no wifi where I am). I would think we need a couple of extra slots per team as we have far to many quality players in blackpool to narrow it down to 5. I would suggest a minimum of 7 or 8 per team giving a nice little cash bonus for whichever Notts boy finished runner up (assuming you get that far). We can obviously organise the structure of the percentages on the day and I may even get a little trophy that Danny could then put in the foyer at Blackpool. The Blackpool team will come from the following players (anyone else wanting to play state their case in this thread or email bribe offers direct to me).
Howard "hawain shirt" Plant
Gareth "carrott" Jones
Simon "bubble" Zach
Steve "womble" Walmsley
Big Simon Nowab
Burnley John Falconer
Moi
Those are the ones I know will be up for it but maybe also malu, chris flint, boycie rimmer and a mystery guest apperaing in blackpool for one week only (no they have never played at notts).
As for the ladies underwear stuff Rob be honest, it was your drawer full of g strings and simon was only looking for your infamous porn collection.  Grin

Ok to avoid collusion/soft play etc I have a suggestion. Why dont we have 8 a side and each put a monkey in the pot and play it as follows.Day 1 Heads up matches winners got to next day, losers go to bar. Day 2 winners play each other heads up and so on until we get a champion from either casino. This will avoid a situation like what happened in Russia not to long ago when teams worked against each other. Poker is not meant to be a team sport and the winner will have earned his seat at the ws by winning 4 heads up matches. Names can be drawn out of a hat but I suggest the 1st day we use 2 hats so we get a true blackpool v notts battle. 8k in prizemoney divided 6k to winner for seat and exes, 1k to runner up and monkey back for losing semifinalist. We could also split the percentages 80/20 with the winning mans team having 80% to dole out between his team (whatever you agree amongst yourselves) and the losing team to have 20% to dole out.
The above idea is only a thought, Womble is coming down to Luton tonight and if you have any other suggestions you can discuss it with him. If you are struggling to find 8 men we could always lend you a couple who didn't quite make the team. The team from Blackpool has now been finalised:
The Magnificent Eight (no copyrights broken there)
Hawaiin Howard Plant
Simon Boycie Rimmer
Chris Nonicknameyet Flint
Steve Womble Walmsley
Big Simon Nowab
Burnley John
Simon The Bubble Zach
Russ Ariston Cawley
Trophy will be provided for Danny to display in casino foyer after we trounce you. Cool

right!
looks like this is developing nicley.  Spoke to Mr Nowab last night and he was quite literally bricking it that Blackpool might lose every single heads up encounter.  He even tried to recruit Carlo Citrone into the Blackpool team (now thats desperate!!)

Looks like Heads up is the way forward though.

Lets talk details tonight at The s**t tip that it Luton

later

Hi guys,

This sounds fun, but you may need a little impartiality (C'mon Blackpool).

As I should most definately be back working for the festival. I'll kindly volunteer to help you any way I can. Do the draw, Big it up. Try to make impartial desicions.

I suppose as you are going to run it as a heads up game, it won't matter overly if one of the players gets stuck in a final. But perhaps a reserve would be wise to add to your lists.

WE have chips you can use that are seperate from the competition chips. And I'll try and sort ya a dealer out for the last final game. Don't hold me to that tho coz you know how these casino people are with their staffing situations.

Look forward to seeing you all up in Sunny Blackpool(Torrential Downpour at the moment).
