I've read all the various suggestions. Greg and Ariston seem to be emerging as organisers for each team so I'd like to make th following suggestion for the structure. The reason for my suggestion is that I view this as a TEAM event, and a the money is far less important than the ribbing we can do to each other. We all play normally poker for money individually, but I'd rather play team v team, so we get a team result, not any individual. So, I propose:

7 players from each team.
2 players drawn out of the hat to play each other heads up.
No Limit 1000 chips each, blinds 5-10. 10-20, 25-50, 50-100, 100-200 (30 minute levels)
This means a total of 7 matches (ie. there must be a winner 4-3, 5-2. 6-1 or 7-0) and its not too many games to play.
All matches are played on 1 day, 1 at a time so we can all watch
Each player puts in 500 and the winning team pays 1000 back to each player

Thoughts? Rob

Hi Rob,

Yes, I've asked Greg & Ariston to sort it, because everyone was making different suggestions & we were getting nowhere.

But I agree with much of your post - in particular, this is a TEAM jobbie, & the money is of no consequence beside that, it's the bragging rights that matter. And watching the other guys play would be just magic, imagine the atmo!

I hope Greg & Ariston take this on board, but I have told them to get on with it, so once the jobs been delegated, we just gotta leave them to get on with it. But I hope they incorporate at last some of your thinking, because you have captured EXACTLY the spirit of the thing as I intended it.

Oh, & some late news.

Rumit asked to be included last week, so I dropped myself out of the team to accommodate him. But now he tells me he may not be able to play, so I could be back in the team. And the Notts Boys know my prowess at Heads-up - hush now lads, let's keep that quite for now, shall we?

So that good news. But good news for WHOM?........

Awww, now you just gave it away!!!!!!
So everybody knows, Tikay is a fearsome and frankly frightening player face to face.
There, that should clear things up!
