Bit of advice please!
I have 2 computers - laptop and standalone. I bought them seperatley a coupe of years ago. They both came with Nortons Internet/Anti Virus, but boh ahve since had their subscriptions expire.
What is the best/cheapest way to get these upgraded to the current edition?
If I went into the shop/bought over internet would I need to 2 seperate packages (as I'm aware they're serialised) and thus have 2 pay 2 lots of x quid? Or, would it be best to just upgrade both online? (and agin would I ave to pay 2 seperate fees)
The reason I ask is because I have gotten infuriated with my research (a. endless Norton helpline and even worse b. spotty geek at pc world that i suspected was trying to fill me with sh*t!)
All help for this computer dinosaur is greatly appreciated (to think I was ahead of my time once upon a time, programming Commodore 64's as a 7yo!!!!!!)

If you had 3 computers its a no brainer as Norton do a 3 user license package for Internet Security 2007 (see amazon etc).
Personally I would ditch Norton and use something for free or at least alot cheaper. I use AVG software for anti virus and anti spyware with exceptional results.

Is McAfee any good?
It came with my PC and now it's moaning that it wants renewed.

I would recommend AVG and it is free, the link below has a number of reviews of the software.

From 2 of the most intelligent men about computers in the world, nem and bongo, i was told to get rid of the piece of shit that is norton and get NOD32, it is regarded as the best in the world and as far as im concerned its faultless.
NOD32!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nod32 is great - just leave it to do it's job, runs fast, great detection rate etc etc.
Kapersky is also meant to be good, i've not tried it myself.

Is NOD32 just an Anti-Virus/Spyware package? The website seems to suggest so.
I went for Kaspersky in the end as it was more of an all-round security suite, similar to the Norton one I was replacing. Does NOD32 do thinks like anti-spam and anti-hack protection?
I think at the time I compromised some anti-virus protection (NOD32 appears to be superior in this respect) for more 'all-round' functionality, but I might be mistaken in assuming that NOD32 doesn't offer this.

do they have computers in wales now?
I agree, norton is crap, PC becomes almost unuseable. AVG is pretty good, known to miss a few things though. I use Yahoo toolbar antispy and Google SheepPorn blocker for the welsh sites.
