all wimps imo - padding, padding and more padding.

ice hockey - normal hockey with padding

american football - rugby with padding

lacrosse - tennis with padding lololol

baseball - cricket with gloves - wimps

any more peeps

Obviously never been to an NHL ice-hockey game then where if two opposing players "drop their gloves" the officials let them get on with the fight until one of the two combatants gets an advantage.

Occasionally there will be a "bench clearing brawl" in which both of the entire two teams will be fighting on the ice and the rink gets littered with equipment, these can go on for five minutes or more.

Even during the game some of the "checks" can be fearsome, especially when someone gets caught along the boards. Noone who has been to a game and sat within twenty yards of the action would ever dream of calling ice-hockey a game for wimps.

I do believe Brian Wilson, aka The Rookie, once played Ice Hockey, & had more sin-bins in a season than anyone else. Broke more ribs & busted more noses, too.

Yes Tikay,

Very good memory, I played through College and I set penalty minute records that will never be broken. Hockey is by far the most honest sport of all as the fighting takes away the "hiding" when a player gets out of line. I played w/ my younger brother in college, Brad, he lead the team in scoring and I lead the team in penalty minutes!!!!!!!

Hockey is by FAR the WORST sport to watch on TV, but the very BEST to watch LIVE!!!!

I have never had a person that went to a live professional game ever tell me they did not enjoy it.

Growing up I always wanted to play professional hockey and one day be on ESPN, who would have thought I would do it in my 30's playing poker, its a crazy world I tell ya!!!!!!!!  (yes, Reddog hockey did come second to my music career

Hans, what does the 47 stand for in your name, thats a little scary to use that on Blonde!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good luck w/ the hockey and I will have to come see a game when I am over there!!!!!

Nice Post Brian, thanks.

I am thinking of taking up Ice Hockey a little later in life, what do you think?

And can Canadians play Ice Hockey to any reasonable standard?
