The City takeover will go through this week and the new manager will be foreign. Just glad Pearce has gone, nice bloke but the football this season was awful.

gerald houllier got a nibble at 5.0 for the man city job meanwhile jewell has gone out as far as 5.2

I know a few people in the know at City and the new manager WILL be a foreigner. Houllier is on the shortlist of possible successors and the 13.5/1 is overpriced imo but Ranieri is the current frontrunner.

Sad that it hasn't worked out for Pearce, but I have endured a painful season watching them this year. Great at the back rubbish up front.
I was still backing him unless we could get someone better in place. Fingers crossed they get this appointment right.

ooops i messed up on the newcastle job and forgot to cancel a lay i had left in last night

i now get 14p if sam gets the job or £180 if anyone else gets it

with the announcement due at 1pm tomorrow is it worth throwing the £180 on at 1.01 to make it 1.94 when sam gets the job

i think i am going to gamble nothing really to lose just hope something happens like the portsmouth job and the job is declined the day after it was traded at 1.01

grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr someone offer sam a job ay a big 4 club please lol

Stuart McCall believes Neil Warnock has taken charge of his final match for Sheffield United.

The Blades were relegated from Premiership on Sunday following a 2-1 home defeat to Wigan and much speculation surrounds the future of their long-serving boss.

Warnock has spent seven-and-a-half years at the Bramall Lane helm but talks over a new two-year contract have been protracted.

Warnock controversially turned down an offer from The Blades prior to his team's match against The Latics and United assistant McCall admits he would not be surprised to see his manager leave.

"Neil (Warnock) has a meeting with the chairman in the next 48 hours and then we'll see what happens at Sheffield United," McCall told Talksport.

"From a personal point of view, I thought that if we did get relegated then it would be Neil's last season at Sheffield because of what he has achieved.

"It wouldn't surprise me if that was the gaffer's last game in charge."
